Seafood goes with keto

The Classic Low Carb Meal

Calling it a Low Carb recipe sounds pretty basic but it isn’t really. It is all about shifting our focus on what we eat. Some people will find that changing their diet is a real challenge whereas others will find the transition not such a pain.

If we have been used to eating a lot carbohydrates in our diet then we are part of the first group, because the Keto Diet is known as the low carb diet.  For some people to have to wave good bye to their favorite carbs it could get a bit tearful.  Only Joking! Of course there is no hard and fast rule about carb intake unless you are a focussed follower of the diet.

To benefit from the Keto diet we do need to minimize our carbohydrate intake – hence low carb!. Hey as with anything it is all about balance isn’t it. Some people will stick closely to the recommended levels while others may be a bit more relaxed and find a happy medium. It depends on what your weight loss goals are and the time frame you have set yourself.

The recipe in the video has only three main ingredients, but that’s not the whole story……..the cooking procedure is a little more complicated.

The instructions given in the video, however, are step by step and  presented with enthusiasm and flair, which helps ( I think).

This is classic keto fods (food): Meat and  two vege cooked in oil.  OK that sounds pretty basic. The reality sounds much more scrumptious.

Listed at the end of the video for those of you who are interested, are the figures for the Calories, Protein, Carbs and Fat (The Macros) for the chicken and the veges. Also, I have listed the ingredients  below and and some notes from the video.

So thanks to the BeerBiceps team for such an easy to follow low carb cooking demonstration – it makes me feel quite hungry.

Lemon Chicken Breast Ingredients :-

  1.  (140g) Chicken breast
  2. Zest from half a lime (Nimbu)
  3. Juice from half a lime
  4. 1 clove garlic
  5. Salt Pepper
  6. Thyme (Optional)

1 Tbsp Ghee KETO Friendly greens :

  1. 1 cup cabbage
  2. 1 cup spinach
  3. 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  4. 1 clove garlic
  5. 1 Tbsp Thyme Salt

As BeerBiceps says:

“Since this is a recipe meant for the ketogenic diet, I can actually afford the generous amount of fat I’ve used here. But feel free to just grill the chicken on a non-stick or an oven WITHOUT any oil if you wanna save up on calories. This European Chicken Recipe is a great healthy chicken variant for someone whose main goal is weight loss.”

Thanks for coming to my site and having a look see.
